Experience the Luxury of Amangiri - A One-of-a-Kind Resort Destination

Amangiri, meaning "peaceful mountain" in Sanskrit, is a top hotel in the US. It's an exclusive desert hideaway that appeals to a discerning, high-profile clientele searching for privacy and seclusion in the American Southwest. Established in 2009, the 34-suite resort was built to pay homage to Navajo culture. Spread across 600 acres; guests are transported to a Navajo-like environment with traditional music, handcrafted rugs, fireplaces, and the scent of sage. Today, it's renowned for its ultra-private atmosphere, offering guests an unforgettable experience.

LOCATION

Amangiri is situated in Canyon Point, UT, near the Southwestern border close to Arizona and Lake Powell. The closest airport is Page Municipal in Page, AZ, 25 minutes away and offers complimentary transfers. For those flying commercially, the closest airports are Las Vegas or Phoenix, both around 4.5 hours away. These drives are scenic, with plenty of food and restroom stops along the way. Note that the resort is in Utah, but follows Arizona time due to its proximity to Page, AZ, where most of the staff lives.

CHECK-IN

Upon arrival, guests drive through a discrete entrance to the main drive that takes them through stunning mesas to the resort. In typical Aman fashion, guests are greeted by multiple employees and led to the front desk. The main property's breathtaking views of the mesas and the Grand Staircase-Escalante left us in awe, and we knew we were in for an unforgettable stay.

PROPERTY

The spacious main property provides indoor and outdoor spaces for lounging, dining, and relaxation. The outdoor dining area is a favorite, with views of the stunning main pool built around a rock formation.

SERVICE

As with all Aman resort properties, service is exceptional, and Amangiri lives up to this reputation. Guests never need to give their room number or sign a bill, and all staff seem to know them and their schedule.

DINING

The all-inclusive rate includes food and beverages (excluding alcohol), and the quality and freshness of the food were impressive for such a remote location. The restaurant offers sustainable, seasonal menus inspired by Navajo and Southwestern cuisine, with the option of outdoor dining. The wood-fired oven adds an authentic flavor, and the kitchen is accommodating and flexible with any dietary restrictions. The all-inclusive menu includes foie gras and lobster and unlimited snacks throughout the day.

ADVENTURE AWAITS

Discover the beauty of Amangiri, a resort spanning over 60 acres and featuring over 10 miles of hiking trails. You can choose to explore on your own or join a guided hike and learn about the local environment. Take your adventure to the next level with horseback rides tailored to your skill level, including challenging ridge-top hacks high above the canyons. For water activities, Lake Powell is the perfect spot, with its towering canyon walls and the Rainbow Bridge to admire. The 200-foot-long Cave Peak Stairway suspended 400 feet above the ground, offers a thrill for adrenaline-seekers. The resort also offers hot-air balloon trips, yoga, and Navajo storytelling to complete your adventure experience.

SPA & WELLNESS

The Aman Spa at Amangiri is a tranquil haven that guests can enjoy whether or not they book a treatment. The spa features a step pool, steam and hot sauna, and cold plunge pool, as well as a fully-equipped gym with complimentary classes each morning.

CAMP SARIKA EXPERIENCE

Take a five-minute drive to Camp Sarika, Amangiri's sister location and "glamping hub." Each of the 10 one and two-bedroom tents comes with its own private plunge pool and a communal area for lounging, dining, and swimming. The resort offers the same outdoor adventure as the main property but with even greater seclusion, making it perfect for those seeking deeper meditation and connection. Meals are served family-style, allowing guests to interact with each other.

Amangiri is an exceptional resort that feels like a home in the desert, with a captivating design, breathtaking landscape, and warm, welcoming service. It's easily one of the best hotels in the world and offers an experience you won't find anywhere else. Although an expensive stay, it's genuinely worth it.
